4 TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
DANGER!
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of limbs being crushed by the magnetic circular chucks
tipping over or falling during loading, unloading and installation of the
magnetic circular chucks.
■
Persons may only be present outside of the hazard area. Do not stand
under suspended loads!
■
The magnetic circular chucks must be loaded and unloaded using
suitable transport equipment (e.g. pallet or support frame).
■
Secure the magnetic circular chucks against falling or tipping over.
■
When lifting the magnetic circular chucks, only use suitable and
approved lifting gear and slings which are designed for the weight
of the magnetic circular chucks.
■
Use the lifting threads on the larger pole plates.
■
Do not use any magnetic lifting devices!
Larger magnets are supplied with radially attached lifting threads. Always consider the total weight when selecting
the load attachment gear. If required, use edge protectors.
Never transport magnetic chucks with magnetic lifting equipment.
After use, switch off the magnet immediately. For extended storage periods, the magnetic circular chucks must be
protected against corrosion with the appropriate means.
Proceed as follows for handling larger magnets:
Step 1: Lifting
Use 2 or 4 lifting threads, depending on the size of the magnet. Use
suitable load attachment gear for transverse forces. Place the magnet
on a sturdy surface. Use edge protection if necessary.
