Answering Calls
Note
: Incoming calls go directly to voicemail when your phone is off.
Depending on your settings, your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following ways:
•
The phone rings or vibrates.
•
The indicator light flashes.
•
The backlight illuminates.
•
The screen displays an incoming call message.
•
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
•
If the phone number is in your Contacts list, the Contacts entry’s name is displayed.
To answer calls:
1. Make sure your phone is on.
2. Press TALK, SPEAKER, or ANSWER to answer an incoming call.
3. Press END/ to disconnect the call.
The following options will be displayed by pressing
OPTIONS
(right softkey) while an incoming
call is notified. Highlight an option and press MENU/OK to select:

Call Guard
to answer the call when you are in roaming mode. (See “Using Call Guard” on
page
32
.)
•
Answer
or
Answer:Speaker
to answer the call.
•
Select Audio
to switch the call to another device (if available).
•
Answer on Hold
to put the call on hold.
•
Quiet Ringer
to mute the ringer (if available).
•
Stop Vibration
to turn off vibration when your ringer setting is in vibrate mode.
•
Ignore with Text
to ignore the call and send a text message to the caller (if available).
Answering a Roam Call With Call Guard Enabled
To answer a call when you are roaming and Call Guard is enabled:

End-of-Call Options
Once you have finished your call, the phone will display the Recent History. From the Recent
History, you can view the date and time of the call, the phone number (if available), the entry
name (if the number is already in your Contacts), and the duration of the call.

(right softkey) to display the Recent History options. (See “History Menu
Options” on page

.)

Press
SEND MSG
(left softkey) to send a text, picture or an SMS Voice message to the
entry in the Recent History.
