52 Messaging
Important:
When you are roaming off the network, you may not receive
notification of new voice mail messages. It is recommended that you
periodically check your voice mail by dialing 1 + area code + your phone
number. You will be charged roaming rates when accessing voice mail
while roaming off the network.
Note:
Your phone accepts messages even when it is turned off. However,
you are notified of new messages only when your phone is turned on and
you are in a service area.
Retrieving Your Voice Mail Messages
To check your voice mail from your phone, you can either speed dial
your voice mail server number by pressing and holding the
navigation key up (only when the slide cover is open) or by using the
menu keys.
To use the menu keys to access your voice mail:
1. Press the left soft key

4. Press

Dial Voice Mail
.
Note:
You are charged for airtime minutes when you are accessing your
voice mail from your phone.
Clearing the Message Icon
Your phone may temporarily continue to display the message icon
after you have checked your voice messages.
