Testing Initial System Operation
Connecting Power Supply to System
When the system is initially installed check that the DX-408/DX-408i digital key system
operates normally before connecting cables to modular jacks.
1. Check whether the AC power switch is off.
2. When the switch is off, connect the power cord for the DX-408/DX-408i digital key system
to an AC power supply.
3. Turn on the AC power switch. Check to see if a red LED blinks under the lower right part
of the front cover of DX-408/DX-408i digital key system.
4. If the red LED does not blink, take the following steps

The
red LED is on but does not blink .
Turn off the power and remove the trunk card. Turn on the power again and check to see if
the red LED blinks.

Check the EPROMs have been installed in the correct sockets, correctly oriented and the
pins are not bent or damaged.. Turn off power whenever touching or removing EPROMs
Turn off the power and Remove the Trunk card turn the power on.

If the red LED blinks without the trunk card, the board is defective and needs to be
replaced.
