6.2 Pre D combiner
The pre D combiner is used to:
Put the two channels in phase
Sum the two signals under weighting
Compensate high rate fading
Pre D combiner block diagram:
The Numerically Controlled Oscillators n°1 and n°2 put the two channels in phase.
The sum is weighted using the parameters
α1 and α2.
Pre D combiner setting:
Selecting “Optimum”, the pre-D combiner schematics is as described on the above schematics.
Selecting “Best”, the pre-D combiner output selects the signal with the highest level
Selecting “Optimum criterion”, the combiner stops combining as soon as it does not improve the signal.
Adapted to Frequency diversity and for a maximum bitrate of 1Mbps.
