E 4.10 Stopwatch
The stopwatch function of the SurroundMonitor 10600/10660-VID provides
an easy way to measure time spans and intermediate results. The Stopwatch
display is available in all channel configurations.
The Stopwatch will show up in the Multi Instrument 2 provided it was selec-
ted as Primary Function for this instrument in the Modify Preset menu.
Note:
Please refer to Chapter E 3.3 to learn about how to access the Modify
Preset menu. See Chapter E 5.2 for a detailed description.
E 4.10.1 Key Functions in Stopwatch mode
Pressing and holding the SELECT button in the Stopwatch mode gives access
to the Start/Hold and Stop/Reset functions. The key functions are labeled in
a column next to the buttons.
Note:
To access the right set of key functions the Multi Instrument 2 showing
the Stopwatch display must be highlighted with a white frame before
pressing and holding SELECT . Otherwise the key functions of one of the
other instruments will be displayed and active instead. To move the frame
to the Multi Instrument 2 press
SELECT repeatedly before holding it.
• Start/Hold
Use the Start key to start the time measurement. While the stopwatch is
running, this key is relabeled Hold and can be used to obtain intermediate
results. After pressing Hold the main stopwatch display shows the
intermediate result while a second display continues to count the time from
the first start. Use
Start again to continue the original measurement.
• Stop/Reset
The Stop key stops the time measurement. The two counters show the
resulting time span and the last intermediate result taken. After Stop the
key is relabeled
Reset . Pressing it sets both counters back to zero.
