Depending on the loaded preset the ITU BS.1771 mode of the Program Me-
ter section generates up to 8 bargraphs. These bargraphs read the current
loudness of the input channels according to their associated channel label.
These values are weighted according to ITU BS.1771 standard. The channel
configuration shown is selected automatically by choosing an appropriate
preset or can be changed manually in the Program Meter/more .. section of
the
Modify Preset menu.
The bargraph labeled M represents the summation of all input channel in the
display. The summation matrix can be changed by the use of the BS.1771
Mix Select menu. The bargraph labeled I reads the loudness value of an
adjustable dynamic time frame. The bargraph labeled L shows the loudness
value of a longterm reading. All measurements are weighted with the RLB
filter as described in ITU BS.1770 standard.
The ITU BS.1771 bargraphs can be used with all Surround-modes and in the
2-ch stereo mode (see Chapter E 3.6).
