6.14 - Rig Tensioning
Once the shrouds are attached, pull the lever on the forestay the whole way
down to put tension into the rig.
This needs to be hard to do. If it feels loose adjust the shrouds accordingly.
Mind your fingers.
Release when not in use.
6.13 - Forestay
One person should continue to hold the mast upright while the other
attaches the forestay to the foredeck eye with the clevis pin and split
ring provided.
PVC tape around the ring to prevent
it catching on the sails.
Ensure the tensioning lever points forwards.
Release when not in use.
Note: Boats built from April 2017 onwards will
have a hook to attach the jib tack rather than
a shackle. See the Quest Upgrade Pack for
details of how to change your boat to the new
spec.
