Exposure
The Exposure menu allows for the selection of Lens, Electronic Shutter, BLC, Maximum Dynamic Range,
AGC and Sense Up.
Lens
From the Lens screen, select MANUAL for a fixed lens or DC for a varifocal lens. Both choices offer a Level
adjustment (0-99) to adjust the brightness of the lens. (Note: All cameras in this series have an autoiris DC
lens.)
E. Shutter
Electronic Shutter allows the shutter speed to be adjusted from X256 to 1/100,000, including a choice for
flicker mode. In FLK mode, shutter speed is fixed at 1/100 sec to avoid image flicker when there is a
discrepancy between current and frequency. (If MANUAL mode is selected in Lens, this will be AUTO.)
BLC
Backlight Compensation can be turned ON or OFF (default). With BLC ON, iris is adjusted so that a distinctive
subject and background is delivered at the same time. When ON, there are 5 preset areas that can be
customized with sensitivity settings of from 1-256.
Max DR
The dynamic range can be turned ON or OFF (default). With Max DR ON, the picture adjusts when there are
differing light levels in the image. The level can be adjusted from 1-20.
AGC
Automatic Gain Control can be set to LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH or OFF. In a dark environment, when AGC is set
to High, the image becomes brighter. The setting here is related to the setting in Day & Night mode.
Sense Up
Sense Up can be set to X2 to X256 (X4 is default) or turned OFF. When it is on, the camera controls
sensitivity as it automatically detects the light level in dark environments and maintains a clear picture.
Color
The Color menu allows the settings for White Balance Mode and Red and Blue Gain.
WB Mode
The White Balance provides settings of AWC (default), ATW, Manual or Push Lock. AWC mode finds the
optimal setting for the current luminance environment. Use the ATW mode when for viewing objects with
changing color temperature. Holding a piece of white paper in front of the camera, the camera is fixed at the
best color temperature; push the joystick to set and lock. White Balance can be directly adjusted by user in
Manual mode. In that case, select R-Y or B-Y Gain to adjust the value of Red and Blue Gain (125 is default).
