FA ROTEX HPSU compact 308 - 02/2012
[8] - Configuration of water heating
The parameter settings "Configuration of water heating" determine the minimum and maximum heating times for hot water and
the minimum time between two heating cycles.
– If a
room thermostat is connected
to the HPSU compact and is configured, the
maximum runtime
[8-01]
can
only
be taken into consideration when required in the operating mode
room cooling or room
heating
.
If the heat pump is
not
active in the operating mode
room cooling or room heating
, the
water continues
to be heated
by the heat pump
until
the
OFF temperature of the heat pump (T
HP OFF
)
(see parameter
[5]) is reached.
If
no room thermostat
is installed,
the Configuration of water heating is always taken into account
.
Only when backup-heater (BUH) is installed:
– By
adjusting the delay time
for the
booster request [8-03]
in comparison with the maximum run time
[8-02], an
additional
compensation between
energy efficiency
and heating time can be determined.
– If the
delay time
for the
booster request [8-03]
is set to
too high a value
, it can
take too long until
the
water temperature
reaches the set value
desired.
– The following rule must be observed:
[8-03] < [8-01]
.
The following setting options are available:
– [8-00] Minimum runtime heat pump: Sets the minimum runtime for water heating even if the target temperature of the hot
water has already been reached.
– [8-01] Maximum runtime heat pump: Sets the maximum runtime for water heating even if the target temperature of the hot
water has not yet been reached.
– [8-02] Restart time heat pump: Sets the minimum necessary interval between two hot water heating cycles (see fig. 4-7).
– [8-03] Delay time for booster request: Determines the delay time for starting the backup heater (BUH) due to a booster
request after the start of the hot water operation by the heat pump (see fig. 4-8).

Additional runtime
for [4-02]/[F-01]: Determines the additional runtime to be added to the maximum runtime when
the external temperature has the value [4-02] or [F-01] (see fig. 4-9 and fig. 4-10).
The benefit [8-04] only fully comes into effect when the setting [4-03] is not equal to 1.
