Oil tank venting
line
Following points should be considered when installing the oil tank venting line:
• Route the line without kinks and avoid sharp bends
• Route the venting line in a continuous decline. Otherwise a drain bore at the lowest
point should be foreseen to drain any condensate.

Water is a by-product of the combustion of fuel. Most of this water will dissipate
from the combustion chamber with the exhaust gases. A small amount will reach
the crankcase and must be disposed of through a venting line.
The venting line must be protected from any kind of ice formation for condensa-
tion by using e.g. isolation protection or a routing in a hose with hot air flow. Addi-
tionally a bypass opening should be foreseen before the cowling outlet.
