Functional options
The insulation monitoring meets the increased need for safety and the cur-
rent regulations for mobile power generators installed in vehicles. Mobile
power generators with protective separation and insulation monitoring may
also be operated by non-electrical specialists. A calibrated earthing system
is not required. The prescribed distribution network lengths must be ob-
served.
Insulation monitoring is used in unearthed AC voltage networks. The Iso
monitors are adapted to the applicable regulations in accordance with the
response threshold.
Residual current circuit-breakers of equipment operated on a portable gen-
erator do not trip in the event of an insulation fault (1st fault) due to the in-
creased protection concept "protective separation with several loads" used.
Insulation monitoring "not shutting down"
An insulation fault is indicated by a warning (optical and acoustic) on the
power generator. Depending on the option selected the power generator is
shut down or not. For technical reasons, the network is not disconnected
from the sockets. In the event of an insulation fault, the connected load
must no longer be used and must be disconnected from the power gener-
ator immediately.
► Warnings must consciously be acknowledged with the
Confirm mes-
sage / selectionfunction switch
on the control unit in order to switch off
the acoustics or to hide the pop-up warning message. The lateral op-
tical warning cannot be acknowledged and is displayed as long as the
error persists.
Insulation monitoring "shutting down"
With the shutting down insulation monitoring design the power generator is
automatically shut down in the event of an insulation fault.

for a longer time (5s), an insulation fault can be
simulated for test purposes. The simulation can be performed in both the
"non shutdown" as well as the "shutdown" version.
6.4.3
Remote start/stop connection cable
The power generator can be started and stopped remotely via the re-
mote start/stop connection cable.
The signal is transmitted via a 5-pin cable.
