Enter a firing curve / program
The TC 504 microprocessor controller allows an exact, reproducible control of your
kiln . A TC 504 firing curve is shown below . It comprises different segments:
First decide the location where you want
to save the new program and select the
appropriate program number .
Press the “
prog
” key until the required
storage location (1 to 10) appears on
your display .
Program delay or delay of program start:
T0
The controller delays the start of the actual firing process for the time set . This allows
you to take advantage of off-peak electricity .
Push the “t0“ key to access the “t0“ field (delay time). Use the - or + keys
to enter a value between 0.00 (no delay) and 9.59 (hours.minutes).
Heat-up to 1st dwell temperature:
RMP1
The kiln heats up at the rate set . The default rate setting is entered in degrees
Celsius per hour .
Push the “rmp1“ key to access the 1st heat-up ramp field. Use the - or +
keys to enter a value between 1 and 999°C/h or SKIP (heating up on full
power).
Temperature for 1st dwell time:
TMP1
The kiln heats up at the temperature rate set until the first dwell temperature is
reached . The default rate setting is entered in degrees Celsius .
Push the “tmp1“ key to access the 1st dwell time field. Use the - or + keys
to enter a value between 20 and 1320°C.
