User-defined customization of time stamp formatting in Excel
After confirming with the OK button, the user-defined
custom formatting is saved, and the time stamp values are
displayed in the selected format. By doing this, even the
smallest millisecond values can be read easily.
It is also possible to use the Import Wizard in Excel. After
starting Excel, first select the relevant CSV file by click
-
ing on the tab “Data” --> “From Text”. After selecting the
file and confirming with the “Import” button, the Import
Wizard is started. This Text Import Wizard can also be used
to format the CSV file as needed. For example, the “Start
import on line” function can be configured in a way that
only the readings are imported without the header (e.g. 18,
see Fig. 6.6).
6.4 Measuring AC+DC (True RMS)
You can show the true RMS value (True RMS) below the
main measurement value (Main) on the display via soft
menu key AC+DC. The option to display three measure-
ment values simultaneously allows users to conveniently
measure DC voltages with overlapping AC voltage or

direct currents with overlapping alternating currents. This
function is useful for the development of LED lighting,
for instance, which is typically controlled by means of
PWM-regulated signals. This function is only available if
the measurement of AC voltage or AC current is activated.
Otherwise, the function is grayed out.
6.5 Power Display (Power)
The soft menu key POWER activates the power display. The
function Power is only available if the measurement of DC /
AC current is activated. For instance, if you select the func-
tion DC V as the main measurement value (Main) and DC I
as secondary measurement value (2nd FUNCTION) (or vice
versa), the power will be shown in the lower display section
after confirming your selection via soft menu key
POWER.
If the power display is activated, the soft menu key POWER
is marked in yellow. To deactivate the power display, press
the soft menu key POWER again.
Via soft menu key WIRE RES. the resistance value of all
used wires can be entered (= sum of all wire resistance).
The resistance value can be measured via current path.
