AMN6500
Putting the R&S
AMN6500 into operation
Execute the following steps in the order as described. Additional important information
is provided in separate chapters that are linked within each step.
1. Place the R&S
AMN6500 on a non-flammable surface (e.g. metal plate, marble
slab).
2. Remove all surrounding items that could obstruct the ventilation openings of the
R&S
AMN6500.
3. Establish an auxiliary
of the R&S
AMN6500 that is
independent from the mains supply.
4. Check if the voltage of the mains supply corresponds to the
AMN6500. Otherwise an external power supply can be neces-
sary.
5.
DANGER!
Risk of electric shock. Before you connect the V-network to the power
source, you have to connect the R&S
AMN6500 to a protective ground terminal. An
unearthed R&S
AMN6500 is live. Touching a live electrical device causes serious
personal injury, or even death.
The protective ground connection must remain until you have disconnected the V-
network from the power supply.
