Tension and changing belt (fig 29.1)
Changing the speed
Loosen the belt by turning the knob (fig 29.1).
Choose the right speed (see sticker on the access door) for the belt (fig 29.2).
After changing the belt position, the bolt has to be turned to its initial position, but take care this is without too
much pressure. Check the correct tension by putting pressure with your finger in the middle of the belt between
both pulleys. When the belt bends 5 to 6 mm it has the right tension.
Move the fork (fig 29.3) up or down to the position that corresponds to the chosen speed.
Changing the belt
Loosen the belt (fig 29.1) and loosen the screws (fig 30.1) to remove the support plates (fig 30.2) of the belt
control screw. Now the belt can be removed under the pivot rod.
Put the support plates back after replacing and push against the pivot rod. Replace the screws and tighten again.
Move the fork (fig 29.3) up or down to the level that corresponds with the chosen speed.
