Notes on connections
Mains input
The mains input voltage can be found on the nameplate. The instrument can be connected with the mains
supply permanently or through a mains plug.
If the analyser has a fixed connection with the power supply system and in addition the
door is closed with a lock, an additional contact-breaking device, e.g. an emergency
cut-out switch, must be accessible so that the instrument can be disconnected from the
mains.
Heed the general guidelines and regulations governing the installation of electrical
appliances.
Mains output
A mains output voltage is available coupled with the
power switch. By means of this voltage, a control
room, for example, can be signalised whether the
analyser is switched on or off. Furthermore, this
voltage can also be used to supply the relay con-
tacts OUT1-OUT3 n.
Example NA 1
Connection of a control lamp to signalise "Instru-
ment switched on/off".
Example NA 2
Supply of a solenoid valve with the mains output
voltage.
Inputs
The analyser is equipped with 2 identical inputs for floating switching contacts. It is only through the pro-
gramming in the programme steps 3.1 and 3.2 that they are allocated a specific function. In programme
step 3.3, it is determined whether the activation of this function occurs when the contact is closed or open.
Via the INFO key, you can query the current programming and the switching states of the inputs (see page
4).
Further information on the inputs
can be found on page 7 in the
section "Input functions".
Analysis start:
flow monitor, time-switch clock,
remote control switch
Analysis stop:
pressure switch, time-switch
clock, remote control switch
Delete relays:
remote control switch
Water meter:
Water meter pulse, relay pulse
(control)
If the desired switching contact is
not a floating contact, a floating
signal must be made available
by the interposition of a relay.
