Entering the geometry of the cross-section
A very simple way of measuring the geometry is to note the position of the sensors
along the measuring tape taking into account the departure of circularity of the cross-
section to be measured at.
This way of measuring the geometry has the advantage that it can be done by only
one person. It is sufficient in its precision for most of the cases.
Step 1:
Open the options menu in the ARBOTOM
®
Software and insert the numbers of
sensors used for the measurement. Then choose the unit of length (cm or inch). Use
the same unit for the circular sensor positioning and activate the field “Absolute” .
Then close this window by clicking “ok”.
