Line Type Selection
When you install the optional ISDN G4 Interface Unit Type 140 , you can increase
the maximum possible line connections to 3 and connect the machine to the
ISDN. When you install the optional G3 Interface Unit Type 140, you can increase
the maximum possible line connections to 2 and connect the machine to the
PSTN.
Note : Although you must use ISDN lines for G4 communication, you can com-
municate by G3 over both ISDN and PSTN lines. Therefor, if you have con-
nected both ISDN and PSTN lines, you can use either for G3
communication. Which line is used is decided by G4 Unit setup, but if you
wish to change this setting, please contact your service representative.
