Cartridge Description Status
Either 400 sheets was printed since toner near-end,
or the estimated pixel count indicates toner end,
whichever comes first.
The machine stops. The cartridge must be changed.
Toner End
The toner end sensor could not detect toner arriving
from the toner cartridge. But there is toner in the sub-
hopper. 400 sheets (A4/5% chart) can be printed with
this toner after toner near end occurs.
The machine warns the user that the cartridge is
empty. The cartridge can be replaced while the
machine is operating.

Near-end
When the amount of toner estimated from the pixel
count drops to a certain value (SP3110-011 ~ 014),
the machine warns the user that the toner cartridge
will be empty soon and a new one should be
prepared.
This function can be disabled with SP3110-001.

Sufficient toner exists in the toner cartridge.
The amount is estimated from the pixel count of jobs
executed during the cartridge life.

The machine can print up to 400 sheets for A4/LT 5% or 228 sheets for
A4/LT 8.75%, after a toner bottle becomes empty.
Toner near-end

The toner end sensor monitors the level of toner in the sub hopper at a point
more than halfway from the top. When toner drops below that point, the
machine adds toner from the cartridge. If the toner level does not recover
after a set time, near-end occurs.
