RS232 Interface
Connection to the RS232 serial data source(s) should be made as per Table 1. This table should be
read in conjunction with Figure 2. Wires should be prepared as per section 4.5.
When just one RS232 source is connected, the Primary RS232 input 1 should be used.
The Secondary RS232 input 2 is limited to 4800 baud rate. Details on how to enable the
secondary input via the RX2 command are given in section 5.6.
4.4
Switch inputs
The status of two switches connected between terminals 7 and 8 and terminals 9 and 10 can be
added to the logged data. Details of how this is activated are given in the SWITCH command
section 5.18.
Figure 3 shows the input circuit for one of the switch inputs.

Note if it is required to drive a switch input directly from the user’s circuit the input
signal must not exceed 3 volts.
