Through poor conditions of the electrical mains, short voltage drops can appear when starting the
equipment. This can influence other equipment (eg. blinking of a lamp). If the mains-impedance
Zmax <0.419OHM, such disturbances are not expected. (In case of need, you may contact your
local supply authority for further information).
26. Remarks
The safety precautions and instructions given in this manual are unable to cover in detail all the
conditions and situations that may arise.
The operator and/or user must use common sense and caution when operating the product
especially for any matters that are not referred in the above.
3.2- Safety warnings regarding the use
Important notice! Observe any national safety regulations regarding installation, operation and
maintenance.
1. Become familiar with the controls and the proper use of the equipment.
2. The use of this product by children is forbidden. Do not allow children to operate this equipment
3. Only well-instructed adults should operate the product. This product is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the product by a person responsible for their safety.
4. Never seize or touch the blade during operation.
5. Work may create projection of debris. Wear appropriate protective equipment (safety goggles…).
6. Residual risks
Even when the tool is used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk factors.
The following hazards may arise in connection with the tool’s construction and design:
- Damage to hearing if effective hearing protection is not worn.
- Risk of injury if you touch the blade while in use
- Exposure to electricity by using damaged or non compliant power cable.
- Risk of body injury or property damage from flying debris.
7. WARNING! This machine produces an electromagnetic field during operation.
This field may under some circumstances interfere with active or passive medical implants.
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend persons with medical implants to
consult their physician and the medical implant manufacturer before operating this machine.
8. WARNING! A certain level of noise emitted from this machine is not avoidable.
Plan noisy works according to local laws and at specific times.
Keep rest periods and if necessary restrict the working hours to a minimum.
For your own personal protection and the protection of bystanders have suitable hearing protection
worn.
9. Before you begin:
- The machine must be correctly assembled before use.
- The machine should be carefully checked before each use. You should only work with a machine
that is in good condition. If you notice a fault on the machine that may cause danger to the operator
or the environment, do not operate the unit until the default has been repaired.
- Remove all objects and foreign materials that may be thrown out or damage the chopping blade
(e.g. nails, metal wires, stones…)
- Check the blades’ condition, the safety features and cutting device conditions. Replace or repair
any defective part.
- Remove all people or animals of the area. Do not operate this equipment in the vicinity of
bystanders.
10. Work only in daylight or under sufficient artificial light.
11. Make sure the blades has completely stopped running when:
- You tilt the shredder to move it.
- You transport the shredder.
12. Do not put hands, feet or any part of the body or clothing near the rotating blade. Warning! Risk
of injury!
13. WARNING
