13. CONVERTING MACHINE FROM TRANSPORT TO OPERATION
13.1 Lift or Semi-Mount Configuration
1. Chock both wheels of end transport. Lower end tow hitch parking jack #19 (Op-321), disconnect light har-
ness and remove hitch pin to disconnect machine from tractor.
2. Use parking jack #19, (Op-321) to level machine if necessary. Couple tractor to machine using tractor
quick hitch only. Ensure quick hitch is locked in place and all pins are secured with locking pins.
3. Attach end tow hydraulics to tractor and raise wheels to remove pressure from transport locks.
4. Remove end tow cylinder locks #6, (Op-323) and lock in storage point on topside of transport strut #7
Remove axle lock pins #8, (Op-323).
5. Raise machine using three-point. Raise end tow axles using hydraulics. Set parking brake. Do not work
under machine. Pull lower three-point end tow hitch pin #16, (Op-321) and raise hitch and lock in place,
(Op-320). Lock both end tow axles #1, (Op-319) in raised position using lock pins #2 (Op-319) and secure
with hair-clip.
6. Lower machine to the ground, shut off tractor engine and engage parking brake.
7. Disconnect end tow hydraulics, and connect rear wheel bar #5, (Op-322) hydraulic hoses to tractor outlets.
Set hydraulic lock valve #4 (Op-322) to open.
8. Connect PTO shaft to tractor. Ensure quick connect yokes lock in place.
9. Set cutting height using cylinder stops and tractor three-point.
13.2 End Tow Operation - Pull Type Model
Place machine on a level surface on solid ground and shut off tractor engine and engage
parking brake before unhitching from machine.
