CHILD SAFETY
(continued)
Activating the front passenger
airbags
You should reactivate the airbag as
soon as you remove the child seat
from the front passenger seat, to
ensure the protection of the front
passenger in the event of an impact.
To reactivate the airbags:
switch off
the ignition, press and turn lock 1 to
the
ON
position.
Switch the ignition back on, then
check that the
AIRBAG OFF
warning light is not lit. The front
passenger seat belt additional
restraint systems are activated.
Operating faults
It is forbidden to fit a rear facing
child seat to the front passenger seat
if the airbag activation/deactivation
system is faulty.
Allowing any other passenger to sit
in that seat is not recommended.
Consult your RENAULT Dealer as
soon as possible.
The passenger airbag
must be activated or
deactivated with the
ignition off
.
If work is carried out on the
airbag system with the ignition
switched on, the
å
and
indicator lights come on: the
passenger airbag is deactivated.
Switch the ignition off then on
again to reset the airbag in
accordance with the lock.
