13. Troubleshooting
Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the latest available technology, there can still be
malfunctions or faults. This is why we would like to show you how to remove possible faults.
Problem
The model doesn’t respond
Vehicle doesn’t stop when you let go
of the operating lever for the drive
function
The straight run isn’t correct
Steering or driving motions opposite
to movement of steering wheel and
transmitter throttle
Vehicle becomes slower or the
steering servo only shows slight
reactions.
Unpredictable vehicle reactions; drive
or servos start without reason,
steering does not function properly.
Remedy
• Check the vehicle's rechargeable battery pack
• Check the rechargeable batteries/normal batteries in the
transmitter.
• Check the connection of the rechargeable battery pack.
• Check the on/off switch of the vehicle and the transmitter.
• Check the crystals for labelling (same frequency or transmitter/
receiver crystal inserted correctly?).
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Adjust the neutral position for the drive function via the trimmer
on the transmitter.
• Adjust the steering function correctly with the trimmer on the
transmitter.
• Check the steering linkage.
• Check the clearance in the steering/wheel suspension and, if
necessary, replace deflected parts.
• Check servo reverse function on the transmitter, if necessary,
modify the setting.
• Check the vehicle's rechargeable battery pack
• Completely extend the transmitter antenna
• Unwrap the transmitter's antenna and install it properly (in the
vertically mounted antenna tube).
• Check the rechargeable batteries/normal batteries in the
transmitter.
• Check the vehicle's rechargeable battery pack
• Check the crystals for labelling (same frequency or transmitter/
receiver crystal inserted correctly?).
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Distance between vehicle and transmitter is too small or too large.
