4.6 UPDATING THE KEYPAD DISPLAY SOFTWARE

To update the TOUCH ME keypad display software, you need:

- a PC running Windows XP or higher
- the TOUCH ME – PC cable (

part number CABA0056

) Note: see the diagram in

section 7.1

- the

TOUCH

SCREEEN

UTILITY program and the

latest keypad display software

(both of which can be downloaded from the RCH, FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD
section).

Proceed as follows to update the keypad display software:

1) Switch the TOUCH ME on. If the customer has issued receipts that day, close the

day.

2) Plug the TOUCH ME - PC cable into the connector on the cash register, located at

the height of the keypad display, and into the RS232 connector of the PC’s COM1
serial port. (If you use another COM port, remember to configure the Flash Magic
program accordingly.)

3) Open the Touch Screen Utility program and configure the parameters as shown in

the figure below.

4) Select the COM of the PC connected to TOUCH ME

NOTE: Touch screen utility must be installed on your PC to work.
Make double click above Touch Screen Utility.exe file to install the program.
