• The flashing yellow (red + green) LED:
• During the simultaneous translation, it indicates the interpreter request “
SPEAK SLOWLY
”.
• During the sequential translation, it indicates the interpreter console activation (therefore, the
delegate microphone is momentary muted).
The flashing yellow LED can appear on delegate consoles with either open or muted microphones
(
MUTE
), while it does not appear on consoles that are disabled or booked (green LED lit).
MIC AUTO-OFF FUNCTION (DELEGATES ONLY)
If the MIC AUTO-OFF function is enabled (in the central unit software), after 30 seconds (with open
microphone) of continuous no voice detection, the relevant console will be automatically turned off.
Every time that a delegate restart speaking during the last 5 available seconds, a 10 second extra
time will be granted (before turning its microphone off).
When a delegate microphone is momentary muted (
MUTE
by either a chairman or the delegate
interpreter console during the sequential translation), the MIC AUTO-OFF function is suspended.
LED CODES
FLASHING RED FOR 3 SECONDS ONLY: failed try to activate the console (its light-ring does not
get lit). The microphone is still off and even the booking request is not accepted, because the max.
number of open microphones has already been reached (and the booking is not available too) or a
chairman has got the
PRIORITY
(or used the
RESET
command).
GREEN: failed try to activate the console (its light-ring does not get lit), because it has already been
reached the max. number of open microphones, yet the green LED indicates that the booking has
been accepted.
RED: the delegate microphone is open (and its light-ring is lit).
FLASHING RED: the delegate console is activated, but the microphone is momentary muted (
MUTE
function). Possible reasons: the B short button has been pressed (
MUTE
) or a chairman has got the
PRIORITY
; in the latter case, the delegate cannot speak, but just turns its console off or waits for the
PRIORITY
end.
FLASHING YELLOW: the interpreter has requested to
SPEAK SLOWLY
during the simultaneous tran-
slation or it simply indicates the interpreter console activation during the sequential translation (the-
refore, the delegate microphone is momentary muted).
LED and the light-ring gets off without pressing any button: the MIC AUTO-OFF function has automa-
tically turned the console off after a certain time or a chairman has used the
RESET
command.
Both LED and light-ring are flashing: data transmission from / to the central unit has failed for 30
seconds (or longer). Should this happen, the console would be forced off (and then it would not be
possible to turn it on again as long as the technical problem is still present).
