Playing mp3, WMa, MPEg-4, VCD and JPEg files
mp3 is an audio file format which compresses recorded music. The main
advantage of the mp3 format is the ability to store CD-quality music
tracks that are user-friendly and compressed on a personal computer.
MPEG4 is a standard used primarily to compress digital audio and video
data. WMA (Windows Media Audio) is another audio file format.
VCD (Video Compact Disc) is a standard digital format containing video
as well as audio on a compact disc. VCDs use compression called MPEG
to store the content. VCDs can be played on this DVD player. JPEG files
are image files (for example, photographs). Make sure that they have
a resolution of less than 5 megapixels. The time taken for the contents
of the disc to be displayed varies according to the size and number
of JPEG files actually on the disc. If nothing is displayed after a few
minutes, it is likely that certain files are too large. In this case, reduce the
files’ resolution to less than 5 megapixels and write another disc.
Notes:
Press the CH+ or CH- buttons on the remote to move
forward or backward one track or picture at a time (if
available).
Many VCDs don’t have a disc menu. They might have a Play
Back Control menu or PBC. This will vary by disc.
The arrow buttons allow you to rotate a JPEG image.
Some content may or may not play depending on the mode of
compression (codec) used.
