To test access by hostname: Type ping and then the hostname of the unit.
C:\>ping unit-72-1000

If pinging the hostname fails, but pinging the IP address does not, it may indicate a DNS problem. The
command ‘ipconfig /flushdns’ may help if network settings have been changed recently on the ViewSmart
1600+. Otherwise, the webpage can be accessed by IP address rather than hostname.

Optional I/O Setup
Each Optional I/O board must be assigned to a channel group (either 1-8 or 9-16). The current channel
group the board is assigned to be is indicated at the top of the option board by a green LED. To change
the assigned channel group perform the following:

Enter the Diagnostics Menu
a)
Press the Main Menu button
b)
Press the Up button to highlight Diagnostics
c)
Press Edit three times to enter the Diagnostics Menu
2.
Press Up to highlight I/O Board Config
3.
Press Edit
4.
Remove the PGM Jumper (J2) on the option board you wish to configure
