The gyros in the RC EYE 450 are linked together so that after the end of a control command the RC EYE 450
always attempts to reach neutral position (hovering flight). How well this works depends of course on the
space available, the flight speed and/or the prevailing flight condition, the trim values of the RC EYE 450
and external flight conditions e.g. wind.
starting the motor
before switching the transmitter on, please set the throttle stick to “motor off” and all
trim levers of the pilot stick to zero (mid trimming). otherwise, the rC eye 450 may not
recognise the transmitter after the battery is connected.
-
After the flight battery is connected, the LEDs indicate “ready to fly”.
-
THROTTLE to zero, RUDDER to full scale to the left, ELEVATOR and AILERON to neutral
-
Rotors start to turn one after the other and start idle speed
-
Red LED lights permanently and the green LED flashes (“motors on”)
-
Increase THROTTLE slowly for lift-off (hovering flight)
Cutting the motor
-
The running motors can be turned off as follows:
-
THROTTLE to zero, RUDDER to full scale to the right, ELEVATOR and AILERON to neutral
-
Stop rotors
-
Red LED is off, green LED is permanently lit (“ready to fly”)
Hovering flight
In order to form the explanation of the steering in a simpler and more standard way, classic
terminology is also used here. This comes from flight language and is widely used:
Direction descriptions are always to be interpreted from the perspective of a “virtual” pilot. in the model.
The direction indicators on the landing leg are deemed to be “in front”. The explanations are all based on
configuration of the remote control to mode 2.
“Hovering” denotes a flight status in which the RC EYE 450 neither rises nor falls so that the upwards
directed uplift force is equal to the downwards directed weight. This is achieved approximately in mid throttle
setting (but independent of a possible payload).
During flight close above the ground and during take-off, turbulence and air flow can be
experienced which may affect the RC EYE 450. A quicker response to the controlling motions
and slight swerving of the RC EYE 450 forwards, backwards or to the side may result from this.
