Checking the Connections
Check all screws for tightness before transport and flights. Vibration during transport and flight may cause
screws to loosen. Due to this, you need to conduct a thorough pre-flight check just as for a real helicopter.
Checking Movable Parts
Always check all movable parts and all parts with bearings for unobstructed movement before flying. They
must be easy to move, but without play.
adjustment of the neutral Position
So that the stabilisation of the RC EYE 450 works correctly, the neutral position must be set. This is the
position that the RC EYE 450 tries to stabilise, as long as no other flying manoeuvre is desired.
Proceed in the following sequence:
1. Switch on the transmitter.
2. Set the THROTTLE to zero and all other levers and trims to the neutral position.
3. Place the RC EYE 450 on an level, even surface!
4. Connect the battery to the RC EYE 450 .
5. The RC EYE 450’s red LED must be OFF and the green LED ON.
6. Move the THROTTLE to full scale and RUDDER to full scale on the right.
7.
The RC EYE 450’s green LED flashes as confirmation and the neutral position is memorised.
8. Move the THROTTLE back to zero, move RUDDER, ELEVATOR, and AILERON into the neutral position.
9.
The red LED is OFF and the green LED ON – the RC EYE 450 is now ready to fly!
Should you not set the neutral position , the RC EYE 450 will use either the factory settings or the last
saved value!
It is very important that you set the neutral position of the RC EYE 450 as precisely as possible.
For this, it is necessary to set the neutral position on a completely horizontal base. Ideally, this
should be measured using a spirit level.
It is therefore extremely recommended that you set the neutral position before first flight. Due to different
environmental conditions than in the factory and/or at the actual place of flight operation, the factory setting
may not be ideal!
Should the RC EYE 450 still swerve towards one direction despite the relevant trims to the transmitter, the
neutral position must be saved again, in that the RC EYE 450 is lifted up slightly on the side in which it
swerves. In this way, the (manipulated) position is saved as the new centre position.
