PREPARATION
Before operation, follow the installation instructions to ensure that each module is
properly:

Mounted
§
Powered
§
Connected to a TraceTek sensing cable or point contact closure device with a
TraceTek jumper or leader cable
§
Interconnected with the other leak detection modules using RS-485
wiring
If these steps have not been taken, refer to the installation documents provided
for each module. This literature can be obtained from the TraceTek web site (
http:
//www.tycothermal.com ).

MPORTANT
: There should be a “System Map” for each sensor circuit. The system map
should show the sensing cable layout with reference readily identifi
able landmarks and
with actual distance measurements every 5m (15 feet) throughout the system. The map is
normally completed at the time the leak detection system is commissioned. Ensure that a
copy of the system map is kept near the TTDM-128 module. If the TTDM-128 is connected
to a building management system, ensure that a copy of the system map accompanies
the building management system.
