Installation

In order to make the installation as trouble free as possible, we recommend you spend
adequate time planning the best locations for your SmartPilot components. This is particularly
important when considering the position of the Type 1 pump, as hydraulic hoses are supplied
in fixed lengths, so there are some limitations on the positioning of the pump with respect to
the boat’s helm.
The recommended installation sequence is as follows:
• install the course computer,

• wire the course computer,

• mount the Type 1 pump,

• connect the hydraulic lines,

• bleed the hydraulic circuit,
