Set the Drive Type to 4
SmartPilot systems are designed to operate with a range of steering drives. Use this
calibration setting to select Drive Type 4 for Mercury Verado outboards.
1. With the SmartPilot still in Dealer Calibration, use the
disp
key to scroll through the cali-
bration pages until you reach the DRIVE TYP page.
2. Use the
-1
or
+1
keys to select
DRIVE TYP 4
, Hydraulic reversing pump (Type 1 pump).
3. Press
disp
to select the drive type and move to the next calibration option.
Save the new settings
When you have adjusted these basic settings in Dealer Calibration:
• press and hold
standby for two seconds, your changes will be saved
• once saved, the controller will return to the STANDBY display
