Step #14: “select boom output sequence”
This section is only necessary and available if there is more than one boom extension
reel fitted, if there is only one reel go to step #15.
For machines with more than one length sensor (reel), multiple no load calibrations
must be made depending on the boom telescoping sequence. For example: a machine
has a five section boom, section 1 being the base section, section 2 being the first
telescoping section, and sections 3,4 and 5 being a second, sympathetically linked,
telescoping set. In this case one reel will monitor the first telescoping section, and a
second will monitor the whole boom to section 5. One no load calibration procedure is
done using sections 3,4 and 5 telescoping and with the section 2 fully retracted, a
second is done using sections 3,4 and 5 telescoping and with the section 2 fully
extended. These two calibrations are selected using “select boom output sequence”:

Complete the no load calibration, step #15, and then return to this step to select the
second sequence, repeat the no load calibration procedure for this second sequence.

This screen displays various diagnostic data for use when calibrating the no load
pressure maps for multiple reel installations, it is not available for single reel versions:
