Trouble-shooting
This section shows you how to trouble-shoot problems with the ESP-SMT Controller or Sensor Pod.
Symptom
Possible Cause
Correction
Automatic
irrigation is not
occurring
Dial is set to OFF Position.
Set the dial to the AUTO position.
The unit is in a SUSPEND Mode due to user entry.
Set the Dial to AUTO and press the RESUME button.
Irrigation is not required based on accumulated weather
data.
If the plant material needs irrigation, manually water the affected zone(s).
Today is not an “Allowed Watering Day”
If regulations permit, change the “Allowed Watering Days” by rotating the dial to the
CONFIGURE CONTROLLER dial position and enter new information for the Allowed
Water Days, or the Block Watering on Specific Day of Week.
Block Day of Week feature is activated.
Rotate the dial to the CONFIGURE CONTROLLER dial position and change the Allowed
Watering Day status from BLOCK to ALLOW.
Event Day Off feature is activated.
Rotate the dial to the SPECIAL FEATURES dial position and remove the day from Event
Days Off status.
Irrigation suspended due to measured rainfall.
Move the dial to the SPECIAL FEATURES dial position. Change the user set value to
higher rainfall threshold from Advanced Controller Setup.
Irrigation suspended due to measured low temperature.
Move the dial to the SPECIAL FEATURES dial position. Change the user set value to
lower threshold from Advanced Controller Setup.
Zone to Zone Delay is activated for an extended duration.
Move the dial to the SPECIAL FEATURES dial position. Change the Zone to Zone Delay
feature to a shorter time value from Advanced Controller Setup.
An individual zone has been set in the OFF (inactive) mode.
Move the dial to the INPUT ZONE INFORMATION dial position. Change the zone setting
to ENABLED (active).
AC Power has been lost and is not currently available. NO AC
POWER will be blinking in the AUTO screen if a 9V battery
is installed.
Reset the circuit breaker or make the necessary repairs to assure a consistent 120 VAC
+/- 10% power supply.
