Setting The
System Time and
Date
The EMS has an on-board battery-backed time of day clock.
This clock keeps track of both time and date. The time and date
are used for time stamping the alarm conditions so they may be
read back by the user. They may also use this feature to obtain
the date and time.
The system time may be set using the command:
SYSTEM:TIME <hour>,<minute>,<second>
where:
<hour>
ranges from 0 to 23
<minute>
ranges from 0 to 59
<second>
ranges from 0 to 59
The present time may be read using the query:
SYSTEM:TIME?
The EMS will reply to this query using the format
<hour>,<minute>,<second>
The system date may be set using the command:
SYSTEM:DATE <year>,<month>,<day>
where:
<year>
ranges from 1995 to 2020
<month> ranges from 1 to 12
<day>
ranges from 1 to 31 (may be less
than 31 depending on the
<month>)
The present date may be read using the query:
SYSTEM:DATE?
The EMS will reply to this query using the format
<year>,<month>,<day>
