Printer
Figure 12
The printer is connected to one of the two round ports on the side of the reader. Make sure
that the plug is fully inserted.
The plugs have an orientation direction (see the mark on the black plug). The mark on the
plug must face upward so that it fits into the port.
Caution
Do not try to press the plug into the port by turning it.
This could damage the contacts and reliable operation
is then no longer guaranteed.
Switch the printer on with the right-hand key. A green LED flashes intermittently when the
device is ready to operate.
To switch the printer off, press the left-hand key until the red LED lights up. You can then let
go of the key, the device is switched off.
Because of the technology (thermal printer) the paper used is heat-sensitive. Therefore, the
paper must not be subjected to direct sunlight or heat for longer periods as it will discolour
and make the printout illegible. If it is stored in a dark and dry place (e.g. filing cabinet or
similar used for documentation), the paper will keep for many years.
Caution
The printer and reader use the same format of power
supply port. Therefore, make sure that when you
charge and operate the printer you use ONLY the
power unit intended for the printer. Use of a different
power unit, especially the reader power unit, can
damage the printer (higher voltage).
You will find more information about operating and using the printer (such as changing paper
rolls, etc.) on the CD-ROM that is provided with the printer.
