UNIT WARNINGS
MESSAGE
DESCRIPTION
OIL FILTER CLOGGED
This message alerts low oil flow, possibly from a clogged oil filter. A system will not shutdown
when its HIGH OIL FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE (Oil Pressure - Discharge Pressure)
rises above the programmable setpoint (10 psid to 100 psid, default 20 psid). The message will
be cleared when the pressure drops below setpoint or the compressor is stopped.
INVALID NUMBER OF
COMPRESSORS
SELECTED
This message, which will be displayed indefinitely, checks a jumper in the VSD wiring harness,
which indicates the number of compressors. The message will occur after the VSD has been
initialized on power-up, if no jumpers are installed, or if more than one jumper is installed. To
clear this warning, turn off the control panel and VSD control voltage, and install the jumpers
properly in the VSD wiring harness.
These jumpers are factory installed in the
wire harness plug and should not require
changes.
INVALID SERIAL
NUMBER
If this message appears, which indicates an invalid letter or number exists in a location in the
serial number string, the chiller may have lost important factory programmed information. Contact
Quantech Product Technical Support immediately to get the password to enter the serial number
using the SERVICE key. Bypass this status message to view additional messages by pressing
the STATUS key repeatedly. Up to three STATUS messages can be displayed at any time.
LOW BATTERY
On power-up, the control system checks the RTC battery to see if it is still operational. If it is,
normal unit operation is allowed. If the battery voltage is low, the warning message is displayed
indefinitely. If a low battery condition exists, all programmed setpoints, program values, time,
schedule, and history buffers were lost, which will be reset to their default values, which may not
be the required operating values. Once a bad battery is detected, the unit will be prevented from
running until the MANUAL OVERRIDE key is pressed. After the key is pressed, the anti-recycle
timers will reset to allow the operator sufficient time to check setpoints, program values, etc.
If a low battery is detected, replace it as soon as possible. The unit will be prevented from
running on the next power interruption.
