INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL FOR FLAT ROOF SYSTEM Q.FLAT-G6 – Q CELLS
The design of the system with side covers improves the cp value. This has a positive influence on the required layer ballast and can
reduce the necessary additional weighting of the system.
INFO
i
The side cover is a component relevant to stability. The omission of the side covers specified in the project report will inevitably
lead to an exclusion of liability by Q CELLS.
NOTE:
The side covers
O
8
are optional components and are not routinely scheduled. Information on this can always be found in the
current project report.

ASSEMBLY
4.7 OPTIONAL STEP
4.7.1 MOUNTING THE SIDE COVER O
8
PRELIMINARY WORK:
Remove the pre-cut recesses for the ballast blocks
O
5
in the side covers
O
8
according to the information in the current project report.
These are cut in using a side cutter and cut off by bending.
ATTENTION:
For one ballast block remove only the lower half, for two ballast blocks remove both pre-cut recesses.
PROCEDURE:
Place the two side covers
O
8
with the holes over the screw position on the tower
E
and on the base
C
. When fitting the side covers
O
8
make sure that the left and right covers are fitted the right way round. The upper bends rest on the tower
E
and point towards the
module, the lower bends point away from the system. Once the two side covers
O
8
are in place, fasten them with six M8 × 16 screws
(observe the tightening torque of 10 Nm).
TIP:
When positioning and attaching the modules, always ensure that there is a contact surface of at least 10 mm on the base
C
and
tower
E
at the end of each module row.
ATTENTION:
The two side covers
O
8
must be positioned and mounted together.
