INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL FOR FLAT ROOF SYSTEM Q.FLAT-G6 – Q CELLS

ASSEMBLY
4.3 OPTIONAL STEP
4.3.1 ASSEMBLY OF THE RIDGE CONNECTOR IN
THE DIRECTION OF THE RAILS O
1
A pitch change / ridge on the roof can be built over up to a roof pitch of 1.5° without additional components. The prerequisite for
this is that the transition from base
C
to connecting base profile
D
runs exactly above the high point and can act as a “joint”. With
a roof pitch > 1.5°, the change in pitch must be covered with the ridge connector
O
1
.
PROCEDURE:
The first thing to do is to determine the ridge line. The main base profiles are then built up and, instead of the connecting base profiles
D
, the ridge connector
O
1
is installed. The order here is

. Ideally,
the structure should be built up evenly on both sides to prevent one-sided loading and thus slipping.
Finally, the topmost components main base profile

, base

, which are coupled
over the ridge, are each screwed in place with a total of eight M8x16 screws.
