PULSAR MEASUREMENT
191
P*853 Allocation
This parameter indicates which transducer is being used to obtain the
temperature, in the case of the UltraTWIN this can be viewed but cannot be
changed.
OPTION
DESCRIPTION
1 = Point 1 (Default)
(
Default = P1-853)
Temperature obtained from Xducer on Point 1
1 = Point 2 (Default)
(
Default = P2-853)
Temperature obtained from Xducer on Point 2
P*854 Fixed Temperature
This parameter sets the temperature, in degrees centigrade to be used if
P852
(
Temperature Source
) =
3
.
Default = 20
o
C.
Velocity
P1 and P2
P*860 Sound Velocity
This parameter allows for the velocity of sound to be changed according to
the atmosphere the transducer is operating in. By default, the velocity is set
for sound travelling in air at an ambient temperature of 20 degrees
centigrade (at 1bar, atmospheric pressure).
Default = 342.72 m/sec.
P*861 Cal. Dist 1
This parameter is used to re-calibrate the speed of sound for the relevant
point of measurement.
With the material at a steady level,
view
the value of
P1-861
or
P2-862
, which
will indicate the
current distance
as calculated by the UltraTWIN with respect
to the current
Velocity P1-860, P2-860
. Physically
measure
the
distance
from the face of the
transducer
to the surface of the
material level
and enter
this value, in
Measurement Units P*104
and
P1-860, P2-860
will be
automatically updated to compensate for any difference between the
displayed and entered values.
