Decoded (Intermec ISCP)
Addendum
An addendum is a separate bar code, supplementary to the main bar code.
This parameter provides two options:
Not Required but Transmitted if Read
or
Required and Transmitted
.
•
Double-tap on
Addendum
to display a dialog box listing your options.
•
Highlight an item, and tap on
OK
.
When “Addendum” is set to
Not Required but Transmitted if Read
, the scanner
searches for an addendum and if one exists, appends it to the main bar code. When
the parameter is set to
Required and Transmitted
, the scanner does not accept the
main bar code without an addendum.
Addendum Add-on 2 And Addendum Add-on 5
Enabling these parameters sets the length of the addendum bar code to either
2
or
5
characters.
GTIN Compliant
GTIN (global trade item number) processing transmits EAN 128 as the 14-character
EAN/UCC GTIN. To use GTIN processing, you must activate the EAN 128
symbology.
Important:
When EAN 128 and GTIN processing are both activated, it is not
possible to read normal EAN 128 Codes.
Reading Range
This parameter determines the reading distance from which a bar code can be
successfully scanned. The default setting,
Extended
, allows for increased
reading distance.
