Specific patient positioning
First, set the appropriate angle of the backrest for the patient using the handle provided. The backrest
can be variably adjusted in flat or erect position by the handle in 10° steps. The exercise can be done in
a sitting or lying position. By adjusting the locking bolt to the right of the seat surface, you then
determine - depending on the mobility and size of the patient - the distance of the seat/lying surface to
the footplate and thus the starting position. The angle of inclination of the footplate can be changed
positively or negatively by adjusting the locking bolt, depending on the training objective. Two hand
controls are required for this. One hand is used to hold the footplate while the second hand is used to
release the pivot/locking bolt for adjustment. The shoulder pads are then adjusted to the patient's size.
To do this, the release handle (yellow) on the left shoulder pad releases the gas pressure spring, the
position can be adjusted and is fixed after the release lever is released. The gas strut releases at a
maximum load of approx. 450 kg and slips through. The Range of Motion Limiter for the end position is
located above the weight block on the guide rods.
