General application
Before starting any exercise, make sure that all locking bolts on the adjustable parts of the respective
training device are fully locked and tightened. During the exercise, do not pull on any of the locking
bolts or pins. Before each workout, make sure you have the correct biomechanical positioning with
regard to the pivot point, joint adjustment, etc. Make sure that the adjustment mechanisms are locked
correctly. No adjustment mechanisms should stick out.
•
When training on the compass® devices, light, air-permeable and tight-fitting clothing is
recommended.
•
Stop training immediately, if the patient feels unwell. In case of nausea or dizziness, consult a doctor.
•
Training with patients may only be carried out under therapeutic supervision.
•
Vertical and cable colmns with lat pull attachment: Please note that lat pull rods that are too heavy
can fall down with a low insertion weight and cause injuries to the user. Only use suitable original
proxomed accessories!
•
The settings on the device should be made with the necessary care. Read the relevant passages in
the instructions for use.
8.1
Exercise instructions
The positioning of the patients must always be carried out with the greatest possible care before the
start of the exercise, because the quality and effectiveness of the exercise depends mainly on a correct
starting position, but especially for exercises in three-dimensional space also on a controlled execution
of movement during the exercise.
With most devices can be trained in a sitting, lying or standing position. The back, especially the lumbar
spine, should be actively stabilized as much as possible during the exercise. When using training
benches, the backrest can be used to stabilize the spine. The S1 cable column can be used on both sides
as well as on one side.
In order to be able to reproduce the training positions given by a therapist/trainer all settings are
provided with scaling, and in addition, the position settings available on the respective device are
numbered alphabetically in sensible order (A, B, C ,...).
The weight load should be chosen so that the patient/practicing person can carry out the training
without evasive movements. The load is adjusted by means of a pin on the weight block. The weights
increments are dosed with small gradation depending on the redirection at the device (single or triple).
Furthermore, the instructions for correct use given in chapter 4.1 must be followed.
