About This Manual

Who Should Read This Manual

This manual describes how to install and configure the Stratum Wireless Ethernet Bridge.  It also describes how to
access the Stratum user interface to review performance statistics, monitor traffic flow, and troubleshoot problems.

The reader of this manual should be knowledgeable about network technologies and networking equipment
installation.  At various points in this manual, we assume basic knowledge of SNMP, Spanning Tree, Ethernet,
network security, and network management.

How This Manual Is Organized

This manual is organized into the following sections:

Chapter 1: Introduction

describes the features and functions of the Stratum.

Chapter 2: Installation

gives a detailed description of how to install the hardware and software components.

Chapter 3: Maintaining the Stratum

discusses commands and options for fine-tuning and monitoring the system.

Chapter 4: Troubleshooting

provides hints on how to diagnose and correct problems.

Appendix A: Specifications

provides a complete specification for the Stratum.
