WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the
tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the
user and/or others.
WHEEL DRESSING
A grinding wheel may become unbalanced due to irregular
wear or it is loaded with ground material. The grinding wheel
must be trued and dressed.
Truing or dressing the wheel is best done using a star-wheel
dresser, a silicon carbide stick type dresser or a diamond faced
dressing tool.
Dress the wheel by moving the dresser forward on the universal
support until it just touches the highpoint on the face of the
wheel, then dress the wheel by moving the dresser back and
forth across the wheel face.
Repeat this procedure until the face of the grinding wheel is
clean and the corners of the wheel are square.
CLEANING
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics
are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial
solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use a clean cloth
to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
LUBRICATION
Inspect and lubricate the tool when required. Only use light oil
to lubricate the tool. Other lubricants may not be suitable and
could damage the tool or cause a malfunction during use.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or
by-laws for electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
