ELECTROMAGNETIC
COMPATIBILITY

Profroid puts a lot of attention in the manufacturing of its control panels, especially for the
EMC, disturbing or sensitive devices.
-
A disturbing device can generate electromagnetic disturbances : frequency converter or soft
starter for example.
-
A sensitive device can be disturbed by electromagnetic waves, such as sensors.
-
The EMC golden rule is to maintain the equipotentiallity of all grounds at the low frequencies
(~50Hz) but also and mainly at the high frequencies (from many kHz to several MHz)

Each enclosure which contains disturbing devices will be buid with specific measures :
-
Mounting of large earthing shields instead of
Green/Yellow wires,
-
Verification of the unity of the grounding plan,
made by different frames and if necessary
equipotential large earthing shields added,
-
Some wires inside the control panel shielded,
for the sensitive devices,
-
Some wires inside the control panel shielded for
the disturbing device.
