4.3 Adjusting the Köhler Illumination

Lower the condenser until the edges of the luminous field diaphragm are in
focus.

Turn the condenser centering screws until the bright area is centered in the
field of view.

Open the luminous field diaphragm until the edge just disappears out of the
field of view.

Remove one of the eyepieces and look directly into the eyepiece tube.
This enables you to see the edges of the aperture diaphragm in focus.
