Keep all outside surfaces of the flange machine clean with soap, water, and lint-
free rags. Pay particular attention to the table.
Used compressed air to clean the following:
•
Feed and looper areas (daily)
•
Under table (daily)
•
In between tension discs (daily)
•
Around the needle plate (daily)
With power off to the flange machine, vacuum (monthly) underneath the table
and operator station. Vacuum more frequently if these areas accumulate debris
rapidly.
Lubricating the Sewing Head
Lubricate every surface on a sewing machine that is in moveable contact with any
other point. A small drop of oil on each point is sufficient. Observe and note every
moveable contact point on the machine.
Filling the Sewing Head Oil Reservoir
To fill the oil reservoir, refer to
and do the following:

Remove the oil plug located on the top of the sewing head.

Using the oil container and the oil funnel that are provided in the accessories
kit, pour fresh oil into the reservoir.

Fill the reservoir.

Check the sight gauge on the front of the sewing head. This gauge is in the
lower right corner. The top of the oil level indicator should be between the
two indicator lines. If the top of the indicator is below the bottom indicator
line, add enough oil to raise it to the proper level.

After achieving the proper level, replace the oil plug.
CAUTION:
Do not use the air hose on any body parts or point it at
another person.
CAUTION:
The factory does not lubricate the sewing head prior to
shipping. You must add oil after the machine is installed.
